The Verdict Is In

I am retiring my iBook.  In a few weeks, once Apple brings back their ‘Buy a Mac, get a free iPod’ deal, I’ll be getting a brand new MacBook.

I took my iBook to the Apple Store and they told me it would cost at least $200 to fix it.  $200 to open it up and replace cables to see if that’ll help.  If that doesn’t help, then it’ll cost even more.  So, I’m giving my iBook to my mom, who has been wanting a laptop since my dad got one of those EeePCs.  She doesn’t mind the blinking screen.  Then I’ll sell my iPod Nano since I’ll get a free iTouch.

  1. Awwww, bye iBook! But hello amazing MacBook!

  2. Your mom doesn’t mind the blinking screen!?!

You know, my other laptop had a blinking screen, too and my mom wanted to use it either way!

  3. How big is your nano? I may be interested. I’m looking for a used one that will hold of my HP audiobooks to give to my nephew.

  4. Nope, she doesn’t mind.

My Nano is 8GB. Not sure that’s big enough to hold all of the HP audiobooks or not. I’m probably going to ask $100 for it.

  5. 8GB is the right size! If you’re still interested in selling it, please email me after you get your new one. I just had to drop $900 on my car (gulp!), but I should be able to swing $100 in another week or two.

    Thanks!
