Happy Hanukkah!

Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah.  We lit the menorah and my mom gave us each a bag of Hanukkah gelt and $1.

Today at work one of the customers who went through my line wished me a Happy Hanukkah, which was cool.  I didn’t know him so I doubt he knew that I celebrate Hanukkah, but I thought it was nice.  Most people just say ‘Happy Holidays’ or occasionally, ‘Merry Christmas.’  So, whether you celebrate it or not, Happy Hanukkah everyone! :D

  1. You have a Christmas tree but you celebrate Hanukkah? Are you both Jewish and Christian?

  2. Sort of. My mom grew up Jewish and my dad grew up Catholic. We’re technically Christian, but we celebrate Jewish holidays too. :D

  3. Happy Hanukkah!

  4. Happy Hanukkah!!!!

  5. Oh and I just wanted to say that I love how you said ‘So, whether you celebrate it or not, Happy Hanukkah everyone!’ :)
If I say ‘So, whether you celebrate it or not, Merry Christmas everyone!’ some people actually claim to be offended!  And they demand that I say the ridiculous ‘Happy Holidays.’ Yeah right!

  6. Thanks everyone!

That’s how I feel about it, Tortilla. I usually change it up and sometime say Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or Happy Hanukkah.
